Delivery Information

Yep. Click here to fill out our request form. Please note, if you are COD, a team member will contact you before a delivery is scheduled to collect payment. Customers on automatic fill will get a confirmation that their request has been processed and will get their delivery on their next scheduled assigned day.

In order to run our routing system as efficiently as possible, our system assigns every customer a day of the week for when they can expect a delivery (regardless of if you are on autofill or will call.) This keeps our drivers bunched in certain geographic regions, so they aren’t zig-zagging across their entire routing area in one day. Give our office a call if you don’t know your assigned day. Knowing your day of the week can help plan if you need to place an order.

If you need a delivery on a day outside your assigned day, you will incur an off-day charge. The main reason for this is our routes are oftentimes set multiple days in advance, and for a driver to go off route, it can interrupt the deliveries for the rest of that day. This is a huge reason why our customers prefer to be on automatic fill; they don’t have to worry about last-minute arrangements or extra fees.

General Information

Running out of propane in the middle of the night is a headache, especially on cold nights. We recommend regularly checking the percentage in your tank as indicated on its face gauge and calling us when you get around 25-30%. The face gauge in the picture is similar to what the gauge looks like on your homes tank. This example reads about 63-65%.

If you own the tank, then Collett Propane can come out and fill the tank, after you provide paperwork which includes an affidavit and permission to fill slip to us.

If your propane company owns the propane tank and leases it to you, then Collett Propane cannot legally fill the tank. Because our business is regulated under the state fire marshal's office, the law says that we cannot fill the tank owned by another propane supplier. If propane is placed into another company's tank, the propane is subject to forfeiture, and our company may face a $25,000 fine and license suspension.
